Willow Tree Garden

Growing stronger together

Project Rainbow

Project rainbow was started in 2014. We want to design and build plant borders in Willow Tree Garden in coloured themes to enhance the beauty of the garden and also act as a learning tool for the learners. It is often for easier for learners that need to overcome emotional and communication difficulties by referring to feelings as colours. By creating borders that are white, resembling peace, tranquility, to borders that are red, resembling emotional intensity, learners can explore the garden and interpret what they want from the beautiful surroundings of WTG.

The colour scheme acts as a teaching tool to develop life skills for the learners in understanding everyday hurdles, such as warning signs, hazards and the use of using appropriate cooking utensils.

The garden plan is shown below
